Coaching at King’s Since 2020

Message from Coach Keller:

I expect this coming 2020 season to be a season to remember! It is my first season as the Head Baseball Coach at King’s HS. We will focus on what we can control. The one thing I know is – No one will out work us. We’re going back to basics and focusing on the fundamentals. I believe that the Team that executes the fundamentals best, wins.

My background and skillset as a coach is strength and conditioning and hitting. In 2000, I earned a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science, and published a strength and conditioning manual specific to bat speed training and arm strength development that has helped dozens of young men exceed their goals to play as elite college and professional athletes.

In 2003 I helped Levi Lacey launch the baseball program at Everett Community College. In three short years, we were leading the conference in hitting and playing for a championship. Later that season, we had 3 players selected in the top 10 rounds of the MLB draft. In 2007, I was hired at Skagit Valley Community College where I helped a great coaching staff turn around a 5th place program and within 2 years, lead the conference again in hitting while playing for a NWAAC championship.

In 2009, I helped Bob Blair launch the baseball program at Glacier Peak HS, and in 2010, I stepped down from baseball to build a career in mortgage finance and start a family.

Fast-forward to 2020, I run one of the top 200 mortgage practices in the US based out of Edmonds (CrossCountry Mortgage), my family and I live on Richmond Beach and I’ve been married to my beautiful wife Jenny (owner of Jenny Cookies) for 16 years. I have two incredible kids that attend King’s, Ally (13) and Hudson (11).

I am excited to build upon what coach Beattiner started at KHS 4 years ago. My mission is to teach each one of our young men how to win in life and to bring a winning tradition to KHS; and ultimately, to be playing for a championship in Yakima this May!
