Thoreson Sign Letter of Intent
Surrounded by friends on Wednesday in Shoreline, Kendall Thoreson of King's High holds up her NCAA National Letter of Intent papers. Thoreson signed to play soccer for Northwestern University. This year's group of local signers includes an impressive crop of soccer players, like Kendall Thoreson of King's (see picture).
Thoreson, who lives in Shoreline, signed with Northwestern University, a member of the Big 10 Conference. Thoreson is a 5-foot-5 midfielder who tallied 25 assists during her senior season. Northwestern head women's soccer coach Stephanie Erickson said this about Thoreson in a prepared statement about the team's signings:
“Kendall is a hard-working, efficient and play-making midfielder. She will compete to make an impact in a position that lost some leadership and depth ... . Kendall is an exciting student-athlete for our program and we can’t wait to watch her evolve throughout her career.”
