Shoreline-Edmonds Basketball Camp “SEBC” SUMMER 2008 JUNE 23-26 | King’s Coaches Bill Liley and Scott Boyce are happy to announce that the King’s Basketball program will be holding its annual summer basketball camp June 23rd thru 26th from 9am to 5pm at King’s. The camp is open to boys and girls entering grades 4 thru 9, and the cost is $210 per enrollment. $235 after June 1st. (Lunch each day is included in the cost of the camp!) |
| Come learn the game from the coaches and players of the highly successful King’s Men’s and Women’s basketball teams. Our Coaches want to pass along our basketball knowledge to the community, using tried and true methods to help develop young players into better all around, fundamentally sound basketball players. Campers will be taught the same drills and techniques that have helped to build our successful programs here at King’s. Camp will include instruction in the following areas; Shooting, Ball Handling, Rebounding, Passing, Screening, Game Situations, Perimeter Play, Post Play, Transition Basketball, Team and Individual Defense! * Gonzaga Team Camp - June 28th - July 2nd Once you have been selected to a summer team an email will follow on April 30th to explain times and costs. Please email coach Liley for information about individual or group workouts during the months of June, July and August (Fitness and or Basketball Training). | · Summer teams were selected by the coaching staff based on play during the regular season at King’s (varsity or sub-varsity play). There will be three summer teams (JV, Varsity, & C-Team). A maximum of 10 players will be selected for each roster. These teams are for summer only! The players on the summer rosters are not guaranteed spots for the regular season that begins in November. Everyone will have to tryout and make the team in November. All student-athletes at King’s will be invited to tryout for our winter season. |

First team MVP -- Gerald Hill, Charles Wright Brett Clyde, Connell David Downs, Bellevue Christian Levi Davis, River View Erich Fuhlendorf, King's Second team Matt Pleasants, Lake Roosevelt Riley Bettinger, Cedar Park Christian Mychal Lopez, Granger Dylan O'Neil, King's Cole Youngers, Brewster Spencer Hadley, Connell KING'S TAKES 5TH IN OVERTIME Fuhlendorf lead Knights over Cedar Park Christian 50-48 Erich Fuhlendorf swished a 3-pointer with 1:26 to play in overtime, and Dylan O'Neil added a free throw with nine seconds left to lift King's to a 50-48 overtime win over Cedar Park Christian for fifth place in the Class 1A boys state tournament Saturday. An off-balance 3-pointer by CPC at the buzzer hit the rim and bounced away. Fuhlendorf finished with a game-high 26 points for the second-ranked Knights, who finished 23-6. CPC, which finished eighth at 16-9, earned the school's first trophy. O'Neil added 17 points and seven rebounds for King's, which earned the school's 15th trophy. Fuhlendorf had 11 rebounds. Jon Ramos led the Eagles with 16 points, and Riley Bettinger added 15. Josh Orrico, whose two free throws with 48 seconds remaining in regulation knotted the score at 42-42 and eventually sent the game into overtime, pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds. The back-and-forth contest featured 10 lead changes and 10 ties.
