Deri Kispert

C Team Head Coach

Deri Kispert will dust off the whistle and come out of retirement this fall to lead our C-Team!  Coach Kispert was an integral part of the early years of the program, joining then Coach Steve Bain as Assistant, back in 2003.  Kispert would help Bain form the foundation of the program, establishing many of the very traditions and legacy pieces that are still in place today.  Kispert was Varsity Assistant Coach for both of our first two State Title teams in 2008 and 2009.  Kispert would help bridge the transition to the Coach Fransen era and all told, Kispert would coach from 2003-2012 and would continue to serve the program as Team Chaplain through 2014.

Deri played collegiately at Seattle Pacific University after a standout high school career at Selah High School.  In fact, Kispert was a part of SPU's first ever volleyball team.  At Setter, Deri would rack up the assists in her 4-year standout career at SPU where she is still #2 on the all-time career leaderboard with 3,783 assists.

Deri is better know at King's nowadays as everyone's favorite 11th grade Bible Teacher.  Deri's love for Jesus and leadership experience will be an incredible benefit and blessing to the program.  Deri and husband Craig live in Edmonds and have 3 children, Calvin, and twins Corey and Casey.  Casey was a standout setter herself and one of the all-time best at King's from the class of 2017.
