Bart Foley

Head Coach

Bart Foley is entering his first year as Head Coach although he is hardly new to King’s as 2018 will mark his 11th year coaching volleyball in the program.  Foley started coaching competitive volleyball with All Out Volleyball Club back in 2005 where he has coached numerous teams at nearly every level since. Foley joined the King’s staff in 2008 and King’s promptly won the school its first state championship, with a repeat in 2009.  Foley has been the Associate Head Coach for the program the past 3 years helping guide the Knights back to another state title this past November.  Bart is passionate about helping every girl to become the best they can be on and off the floor, as student athletes and as Christians. Coach Foley has been an ambassador for the sport of volleyball in the King’s community through his leadership at All Out as well as King’s Elementary and Jr High camps and clinics through the years.  Foley also serves as an executive board member for the Puget Sound Region of USA Volleyball where he is an advocate for club athletes and their families.

Foley got his start playing volleyball on the beaches of Golden Gardens and Alki back when most thought if you were playing doubles it must be because you were short players.  Bart quickly took to the sport and ascended into the upper tier of local players, routinely competing for tournament wins throughout the northwest.  Foley also played for the club volleyball team at Washington State University (1989-92). Coach Foley has been a King's parent since 2001 and his team at home includes a beautiful wife and four children, including daughters Anna and Tessa, who both lead King's to State Titles (Anna 2008 & 2009 and Tessa in 2017). Coach Foley is Vice President and General Sales Manager at ROOT SPORTS, television home of the Seattle Mariners.
