Playing Career:

Graduate of Edmonds-Woodway High School class of 2004, and played under Head Coach Joe Webster 2001-2004.  Jake was a three year varsity letterman and starter at 3B and also pitched for the Warriors.  Jake was awarded multiple 4A WESCO all-league and 1st team honors as a 3B, and league honors as a pitcher throughout his high school career.   He was nominated and selected tothe Senior Feeder Game, and selected to the 2004 All-State team his senior year.  Jake led the Warriors with a .496 average his senior year, and  set two school records for doubles (18) and RBI’s (39), which both currently still stand.  In 2002, his team reached the 4A State Regional semi-final game before losing to South Kitsap.  In 2003, his team reached and lost in the District playoffs, and in 2004 lost to Kentwood in the 4A State Regional Final game in extra innings and finished in the top 8 in the state.

Jake also played select baseball for multiple summer teams the Horrocks Brewers, Woodinville Baseball Club, and IIS Baseball Club.   Jake also played for Chaffey Baseball Club for three years, 2002-2004 under Jim Stewart as a 3B and pitcher, and also was their starting catcher his junior year in 2003.

Jake went on to play college baseball and signed a letter of intent with Edmonds Community College in 2004. He committed to the Tritons as a 3B and catcher and played for them from 2004-2005 under Coach Tighe Dickinson.  A dislocated shoulder and surgery ended his playing career.

Coaching Career:

Currently coaches select summer baseball with the Washington Rush Baseball Club, and assistant director with Dan Somoza.  Jake is in his 5th year as their u16 team head coach (2013-present).

He is currently a Board Member for MTYAA Pony Baseball and entering his 13th year on their Board of Directors (2005-present). He is the u13-u18 divisions Director, and has also helped coach within the league for several years.

Coached five years at Edmonds-Woodway HS for his alma-mater, under Dan Somoza (2010-2014). The first year was as the C Team head coach, and then four years as the JV head coach for the Warriors.

Coached summer baseball with Seattle Select Baseball Club for five years (2008-2012). One season at both the u15 and u16 age groups, and then three years as the u18 head coach.

 Jake lives in Lake Stevens with his wife Kryshna, daughter Ava, and son Thomas.
